Re: When Bleeding Radiator Bleed Valve Comes out but no Water or Air

turn on the heating so the pump runs, this could be enough to shift the air lock, also turn off every other radiator

Re: Safe to Turn off Gate Valve to Indirect Cylinder?

Re: Safe to Turn off Gate Valve to Indirect Cylinder?

wow that's an old valve and one of the best makes, without a photo I can only presume,is there an immersion heater with a cable coming from it in the top or side,I can't imagine what's to be gained by turning it off except that you probably won't get any water from the hot tap, excessive boiling wate...

Re: Increasing Flow for Bath Shower Attachment

does the airing cupboard adjoin the bathroom wall, if so it would be much easier,a separate cold feed from the cold water tank is needed and a hot feed from the cylinder going into the pump then to the bath/shower taps, the cost will depend on what part of the country you live, without seeing the job...

Re: Is Low pressure or flow the cause of slow kitchen tap

I haven't seen one either but suspect it is, the one below is a non return valve,
if the water switches off ok it would take about 20 mins to remove

Re: Can you part replace IDeal Standard Whisper Cistern inlet valve

Welcome to a plumbers world where everything has to be boxed in and tiled over, a picture would be good, if i struggle to get a part I always go to BBS bristol building supplies, try online or a phone call, just got a new b/valve washer for the same problem as you have that no one else could identify it

Think that's the problem not draining, the joints will drip when blocked, try 'one shot' from a plumbers merchant, put it in a night and check in the morning

Re: Changing Bath and Basin Taps to Low Pressure Taps

I hope your plumber has checked a few things, like is the water being restricted by isolation valves, flexi hoses or enough water entering the cold water storage tank etc
