Hi all not sure if this thread is still active or not but hoping someone can help. Recently painted my bathroom with some Wilkos paint and by the time it dried I got the dreaded smell. After hours of looking on the web to find out how to get rid of it with no luck I stumbled across this thread. Iv been through every page and looks like some managed to stop it with Zinsser bin. So I bought some but I got there newer aqua version ( didn’t want to use the shellac one due to the fumes people say it has and my partner being pregnant) I covered the rancid paint with 2 coats and it has helped the smell by maybe 90%. It’s been 2 days since I applied the bin aqua and was just wondering will the remaining smell go after it fully seals or should I put another coat on? Or do I have to apply a new top coat of emulsion to get rid of the remaining smell? I’m very reluctant to even repaint the walls again now in case the smell comes back full again. Any help would be much appreciated!
