Drainage Channel

by beadie » Tue May 27, 2008 9:18 am

I have had a quote to install a 6 metre dranage channel at the side of my house. The drain will be either side of the 2 waste pipes and be connected to both to drain off the rain water that currently accumalates at the side of the house. I have been quoted a price of £1325 + Vat and wondered if this was excessive. :?:

Thanks

Seems quite high in my opinion. I would always get 3 quotes with any job....you might be able to save some costs by offering to dig the trench yourself, this can be hard work though. Hope this helps.

Seems abit steep - are you any good at DIY ? not fancy trying to do it yourself.

If not get a few more quotes - I bet you can get it done for half that price, get someone that'll do it 'on the side' no guarantee - but no alot that could go wrong.
