Switching from digital tv to rooftop aerial

by aslan248 » Wed Aug 06, 2008 3:20 pm

Hi,
I moved to a new house in Ireland.I am waiting for sky digital to be in installed.Their is an tv aerial on the roof that feeds into the living room but it appears the last tenants used this aerial for chorus ntl as the stb is connected to it.How do i connect this aerial to my own tv or change the connection to coax just to tie me over as it will be a week before i get sky in stalled.
Tanx.

Seems we have no one from Ireland on here. I did look at the Chorus NTL web site but very lacking in information. Over here in the mainland UK we have a digital service and we can subscribe to some extras about a further 8 to 10 channels than standard freeview but need a different box with a slot which costs more than free to air sky so hardly any point. I will guess it's just the type of connector that has to be changed hear also we are moving to the F type plug instead of normal TV type but I think the Chorus NTL is only found in the republic sorry.
