I want to remove a door and frame from a stud partition wall what is the best way to fill the space left and how can I get the new section to mary with the wall so that it does not show up when decorated.

once the frame has been removed you will be able to see the size and material used for the stud wall(timber or metal).Build a simple frame of a top, bottom and three uprights, fix plasterboard to the frame and skim over with finish plaster.
