overhead extractor problem

by razar » Thu Oct 23, 2008 5:33 pm

I have an overhead cooker extractor with 4 push buttons on the front, 3 for the fan and 1 for the downlights.
recently had trouble with one of the buttons not working and whilst messing with it I believe I have short circuted it as there was an electrical burn smell.
Both the lights and the fan no longer work, the plug fuse is fine and there is current going to both the fan motor and to the swich controls.
My question is; is there an in line fuse behind the control pannel in the hood.
suggestions would be appreciated.
