can a condensing boiler go in the loft?

by eddie » Fri May 11, 2007 8:12 am

hi

I'm doing an extention soon and have to move my 14 year old valient 82t combi.

I've been advised by british gas and others that it would be just as well to change it for a new condensing boiler.

I live in a semi-detached, it will be soon 4 bedroom(2 double size, 2 smaller).

The old boiler is in the garage but I'm toying with the idea of putting it in the loft. Can I do this?

Also what type of boiler for this 1937 semi with 2 adults and 2 not so young children do any of you recommend.

There will be 1 bathroom and 1 shower room with a mira 415 combi shower fitted

thanks for any help

I can't think of any reason why it shouldn't go in the loft. You may well have to take precautions against freezing though.
