heated towel rails

does a heated towel rail give out less heat than a radiator?

A Towel Radiator White 2440 BTU 715W 1414x500mm will give more heat than a Double Radiator 2039 BTU 598W 300×600mm but it is bigger in physical size can’t really see what you are asking as all are advertised as to their out put so direct comparison and as to size they don’t match up anyway so can’t really compare. Only point with towels on the rails it must reduce output.

Towel rads are exactly what they say.....towel warmers, they have approx 1/3 the output of the same size modern rad, and because they are so narrow you have to fold the towels in 2 or 4 to get them on the rails, hence giving no heat off into the room whatsoever, when fitting them i always suggest underfloor heating to the customer at the same time, as a back up in bathrooms.

thanks for that ericmark...I have been told that they are not very practical for heating like rads, so was manking general enquiries b4 buying. thanks
