Hi im having my gas meater moved to the front wall of my house. Originaly it was on the side but the previous tennant had built a lean-to on the side of the house making the path to the door now a hall way. How deep do the pipes need to be buryed? does it need to be 50mm below the lowest point of the floor (ive got a step half way along) or does it need to be deeper? thanx

Gas pipes in private property should be a minimum depth of 375mm.
Who is moving the meter for you, someone qualified i hope !!

Minimum depth 375mm below open ground and drives.

Minimum depth 40mm for copper or steel within concrete floor with pedestrian traffic.

Has to be protected against corrosion
