radiators warm at the top but cold on the bottom

My radiators are cold at the bottom yet warm at the top. This problem is usually the opposite way round so do they just need bleeding?

If you bleed and they are full you probably have a blockage/sludge build up. Might need a cleanser running through it or power flushing.

If its an old system it probably needs a powerflush or at least taking the rads off and flushing through individually. They are more than likely sludged up.

Hi Fella,

Cold at top = air, therefore bleed.
Cold at bottom = sludge or circulation problem, therefore powerflush or diy drain down flushout several times then add inhibitor.
