damp proofing a link extension

by sam85 » Mon Dec 01, 2008 12:26 pm

I want to build an extension to link the house and garage (they are approx 4 feet apart).
My only concern is that the level of the damp course in the house is approx 10 inches above the level of the damp course in the garage.
I would be grateful if anyone could tell me how to get around this.
I would guess that i should lay the DPC at the existing level of the house and then place a strip of DPC vertically down to the lower level DPC of the garage but i am not sure if this is correct.
