Help! Painted new plaster too quickly ... Ask your questions and find answers on many subjects relating to plastering and dry lining

:( Just had an area of wall re-plastered and painted it before it had all completely dried.

Used special Wickes paint for new plaster and thinned down the first coat. But the finish is completely different on the dryer areas and the areas that were wet. It's actually two different levels to the surface and looks terrible.

Is there a way of rectifying this mistake? Eg. sanding and repainting? Or does the whole thing need to be replastered? Hope not.

Any suggestions very welcome.

remove paint to allow plaster to dry, this can be done by sanding!
