leak

by GEOJUL123 » Tue Dec 16, 2008 3:44 pm

I have a samll leak from comb-boiler, it is only very slight "weep" when system is off, when running no problem. Plumber has advised is weeping from around o-ring where pipe is connected to heat exchanger. and said is not worth all hassle and expepense of dismantling and replacing. was wondering would it be worth trying leak sealant in system to see if that would cure problem?

Hi,

You could try it but I'm dubious about that stuff.
The o ring really needs replacing to do it properly, common on baxi/potti.
