I plan to extend the number of power points in a domestic property. (The planned extensions are within the "non-notifiable" guidelines of part P of the building regulations).
However, I've found that the property is wired with radial circuits, rather than a ring main which I'm used to. It has four circuits: one 30 amp direct to the oven, another 30 amp power circuit and two 5 amp light circuits.
My question is, "Is there any way of identifying whether a particular electrical power socket with just one incoming wire is located at the end of a radially wired run or is just a wired spur from another power socket? In both cases the power socket in question has just one incoming wire.
Advice or pointers would be welcomed, experienced or not.
