pumped water system problem

by russ guilfoyle » Sun Jan 11, 2009 10:19 pm

hi, this is my first time posting and i hope that you can help me. we have a pumped water system in our house, (salamander esp 100 cpv) we had to turn off the water supply the other day and since it was turned back on the pump has been running for approx 30 seconds, stopping for 1 or 2 seconds and then running again. i have turned on the cold taps and then the hot taps thinking that maybe there was some air in the system but there has been no change. does anyone have any ideas? thanks in advance.

russ guilfoyle,
Sounds like an airlock into the pump - leave the taps on for a while and see if you can encourage enough air to come out to clear the problem.
end

maybe worth downloading an installation guide from salamander.co.uk and check the commissioning page.
