Outside path above original DPC, should i put french drain

by Action » Sat Jan 31, 2009 9:50 pm

Hi

We have an outside path covering / above the original DPC to our property and was wondering if I dug a trench / french drain in to go below the original DPC and diverted water into a drain if this would be ok and help the damp issues we have.

I thought i'd ask as i didnt want to waste a lot of time or cause more damage to the house if it shouldnt be done.

Any advice gratefully recevied.

Matt.

See the DIY Projects section and look for laying french drains and soakaways
