electric test

are them plastic type, electric testing screwdrivers with the light in them safe? they are rated at 240v, how do i know the power in my house doesn't exceed that? all homes are 240v are they not? do i have to put my finger on the end silver/metal bit for it to work?

Do not use these to test electrical power, so dangerous should not be on market potential killer. You need an approved voltage indicator and use test probes that are to GS38 standards.
