fitting washing machine in bathroom

by ron » Fri May 18, 2007 12:48 pm

Can anyone tell me if it is allowable to fit a washine machine in a bathroom, but have the 13amp switched socket located on the back of the wall outside the bathroom.
I've lived in Denamrk for a bit and that appears to be the norm in apartments - logical but maybe not allowable in the UK.

Although always frowned on, the regs do allow it but preferably from RCD circuit, or rcd spur or 'power breaker ' plug
