Concrete

by maggimatchbox » Sat Apr 04, 2009 3:54 pm

I have laid a 60 mm concrete slab, there is a slight bump of 8 mm and some slight crazing. I have been back to the seller of the concrete and have been told that as the crazing is 1mm or less I do not need to worry. I will be employing someone to lay the levelling screed, will that cover the bump and cracks or will they work their way through to the top. I intend to lay flooring which requires a very smooth top layer.
Any help would be appreciated
Thanks
Hildegard

Probably chop the bump out before levelling. At least thats what I'd do.

Cheers
