waste pipe combination

by roger44 » Wed Jul 01, 2009 2:37 pm

I have a basin waste pipe joining the bath waste pipe which then goes into the stack feed pipe. Also off the stack feed pipe is the shower waste pipe.

When the bath empties, am I going to get syphonage problems and or backfeed into the shower base?

any ideas

If two seperate pipes go into the soil stack - one for the bath and the sink and the other for the shower - the bath water will not back up into the shower - unless you get a complete blockage in the soil pipe.

Fit anti vac traps - to be prevent syphonage.

there is only one pipe at the moment, but I am now going to add one just for the shower and fit a/s trap to the basin
