We have had for about a year a flooring laid in our hall called cardine which is an alternative to laminate and is stuck down on to a laytex screeding over the original concrere floor. Recently it has been lifting in certain areas, mainly where its walked on the most, any ideas what might be causing this?
Its been stuck down again buy the shop we bought from but its now happening again!

Usually due to teh timber expanding in a humid atmosphere but having no-where to expand to. Floors which are stcu down must be allowed top acclimatise to the conditions in the room for at least (it is suggested) 3 weeks. Only when the timber has reached the same moisture level as the atmosphere in the room will it stop absorbing and, as a result, expanding.
