moving a bathroom upstairs

by andrew mulgrew » Tue Oct 20, 2009 8:39 pm

I've seen a house I'd really like to buy but it has a downstairs bathroom at the back of the house. I'd like to move it into the box rom at the front of the house. Is this possible? The house is an end terrace and in a conservation area so no unsightly pipes are allowed on the front the house. Can anyone offer any advice?

I wouldn't do it personally. The soil stack will be at the back of the house so you would have to have waste plumbing from the front to the back of the house. You could always have a macerator installed but to be honest I'd look at a house with an upstairs bathroom! Will be alot cheaper in the longrun.
