I have bought a garden vac. It is double insulated, uses 2 core cable and has a moulded 3 pin plug at the end. The cable is too short to reach all of my garden. Is it safe to plug the vac into my extension cable reel which will be 3 core cable and earthed? I do have an RCD unit. Many thanks in advance for advice.

Hi. perfectly ok but from choice put 'power breaker adaptor' at house end of first lead,
