Damp on chimney breast

by Bumblemum » Mon Nov 16, 2009 8:03 am

We have recently moved house and have a great deal of improvements and repairs to make.
The spare room has a damp chimne breast. Is there anything we can coat it with, after stripping off the paper, to stop it getting anyworse until we get a bulider to fix the outide wall? At the moment because money is tight we have to do the jobs in order of importance. We're looking for a 'first aid' remedy to hold it in check
