Bath Traps

by raypeggy » Wed Feb 17, 2010 1:17 pm

Is it O.K to fit a shallow bath trap where the waste runs into a soil stack.
Looking at one in my local d.i.y shop the instructions said "Suitable For Running Waste Water Into A Gully"
Clarification on this(Water Regs.) Etc. would be much appreciated.

Thanks---Ray

raypeggy,
Since you are going direct into a soil stack you should use a trap with a 3" seal. If it is impossible to get such a trap under the bath try using a Hep2O trap - they can be fitted horizontally - it must be fitted up the correct way.
