Fitting a plug onto a floodlight

by TERRY123456 » Sun Feb 28, 2010 12:53 am

Hello, i have a normal type 500w floodlight which only gives instructions for wiring to the mains,
But i would like to fit a plug on the end instead.
The specs are; 230V AC - 50Hz and it says the circuit should be protected by a 5A fuse,
So would a 230V plug with 5A fuse be ok?

Thanks

3core flex with 5A fuse would be ok electrically.

Great! Thanks, should be ok then,
..it also says not to fix one of these to anything flamable, just in case anyone was reading the advice who had one of these without the instructions.
