How can I cap off a kitchen waste pipe after removing spigot All aspects of plumbing questions and answers, help, tips and information

I Have sold my dishwasher which had its waste pipe connected to a spigot on the kitchen sink waste pipe. I need to cap off the connection somehow, but the waste pipe is about 40mm diameter and the only stop ends I can find are 15 or 22mm and I can't find any product that will do the job. Does anyone have any experience with this?
