Hi all

I have just started posting here. I am living in a very old rendered stone house with no damp-course. I intend to gut each room, dry-line, and put in a concrete floor. Having spoken to a few people I have come up with a preliminary design for doing this which is below.

Use segmented battens and fit high level vents so the cavity is ventilated.

Thankyou for your input.

You are, I believe, talking about high-level vents to create a through-put of air which is worth considering.

I am not exactly sure what segmented battens are, however

Cut the battens into short pieces so that air can pass up behind the wall.
