Repairing concrete posts

by nevercan » Fri May 21, 2010 8:07 pm

We currently have concrete fence posts which need repairing but the wooden panels are secure. There are cracks in the concrete and some corrosion of the metal bars inside the post. It looks ugly so is there any way of patching up the cracks in the post? If the cracks can be patched up can you then paint them? Is there specialist paint to use? Thanks

The best thing to do would be to dig up the fence posts and fit new ones rather than try to 'fix' your existing ones because 'fixing' them will not bring back their integrity, they will still be weak and need to be replaced relatively soon anyway. The AVS Fencing website has loads of information about how to install fence posts and what you will need.
