liquid damp proof membrane

by imz » Fri May 28, 2010 12:55 am

i've got damp patches coming through my conrete floor as i dont have a damp proof membrane sheet under the conrete.

my question is

can i use liquid damp proof membrane to paint over the damp conrete to cure the damp pathes? how do you use it? do you just paint the floor?
the conrete is fine and all level just got a few light damp patches

thanks

You need to dig up the floor and have a damp proof membrane put in, if you paint it -you're sealing the damp in and it'll still spread and start coming up the walls.
