Tiling uneven walls

by steven2009 » Tue Jun 01, 2010 8:12 pm

Hi,looking for some advice please.
Stripped out my old tiled bathroom and fittings, now looking to retile.

I've skimmed over the plasterboard walls with board finish to cover missing plaster, old adhesive etc from the previous original tiles.

One wall is slightly uneven- ie if I hold a straight edge left to right, there appears to be a slight bulge/hollow of no more than 3mm in parts.

Would the tile adhesive allow for this if spread correctly.
This is my first tiling project.

Also, overboarded the old artex ceiling ,taped and cemented joints, looks good.Could I just paint this now, or would it have to be skimmed with it being a bathroom- I'm worried about making a hash of it, walls ok but ceilings are another matter Any advice appreciated.....thanks
