Help changing ceiling rose with light dimmer

by inch high » Tue Oct 12, 2010 1:54 pm

Hi guys,

I need to replace the ceiling rose in my front room. I thought it would be a straight swap but when I've come to do it, the connectors seem different.

Can someone in the know have a quick gander at the two pics below, and advise me how to wire it up please?

Is there a chance that I've bought the wrong one? Does in need to specifically be a dimmer type?

Thanks

inch high,
3 red wires go into loop terminals, 2 black wires go into neutral leaving 1 spare for flex, black with red sleeve goes to live again leaving 1 spare for flex.
end

There are direct replacements for each other be careful not to loose the red sleeve.

SW = Live (Not really right name should be called Line)
Line loop in = Line
Neutral = Neutral
