ROOM THERMOSTATS

by BOILER » Sun Oct 17, 2010 10:16 pm

I have an "Ideal E type RS2" gas central heating boiler which runs well but is quite old. The individual radiators all have TRVs but the system has no room thermostat. Does this mean that the boiler will continue to run and burn gas even when all the rooms have reached the desired temperature and the TRVs have closed?

BOILER,
"Does this mean that the boiler will continue to run" YES until the boiler reaches the temperature set on its own thermostat.
end

Thankyou Stoneyboy - although not great, my system is not as inefficient as I had feared !
