castlecomfortstairlifts.com do publish on the net instruction manuals but every one has radio controlled remotes which clip into a holder on the wall. The 950 did give some information as to the setting of dip switches but there is very little information as to how it is all connected.
However with the provision of the diagnostic display I would guess the whole thing is controlled by PIC's and as a result the DIY person is unlikely to be able to complete any repairs. Since there are so many options I would guess the PIC is custom programmed for the house it is installed in.
I think you have to contact an authorised installer for any repairs. I would guess it comes under the same controls as a lift and the regulations are very strict. We would not want a repeat of the Gremlins *******!
