sanding floorboards without hiring equipment

by hannah345 » Sat Jan 29, 2011 3:12 pm

Hello,

I am really new to diy but eager to learn. I have old floorboards and would like to sand them and varnish rather than carpet. I am a woman and worried about the weight of hiring a sander. Is there any way I can buy a floor sander (I can only come up with hire companies on google) and do it myself at my own pace? I don’t care how long it takes me, just that it is enjoyable and they look good and clean enough to lay down rugs.

Any help in the right direction would be really appreciated. Thankyou.

hannah345,
Google "used floor sanders" and you should find what you want.
