Chocbox or Junction box

by clarets » Mon Feb 28, 2011 10:01 am

Looking for a little advice regarding the wiring from the ceiling rose to 5 new GU10 mains downlights. Ill be using the daisy chain method to wire up the new lights however, is it better to use a chocbox or junction box for the original rose wiring to the first downlight. If its a junction box, what amp should it be? Thanks for any advice.

Either can be used assuming you mean a chocbox is as per this link. Google "tlc-direct.co.uk/Products/CHOCBOX.html?source=froogle"
5amp minimum connectors should be used when using either method.
