Difficulty getting watertight seals on Bath & Sink Waste

by Cell01 » Wed Mar 09, 2011 11:19 am

This is driving me mad!

Installed new bath & sink - all gone fine apart from both leak from the plug holes. Have tightened as much as can without overtightening, have put more robust washers on, have tried adding sealant but still both leak.

What am I doing wrong?

Cheers,

Hard to say without seeing, as long as you have the rubber washer or seal between the waste grate and the bath in the right place then it should be watertight.

If it's those cheap plastic waste grate - bin it. Buy a decent waste grate.
