flaking plaster in bathroom

by sinatra » Tue Mar 29, 2011 4:29 pm

Hi, I am painting the walls in my bathroom and as I have come to the last wall over the bath, i noticed a very thin sliver of plaster coming away from the wall...on removing that, I have opened up a huge problem...I am now back to the bare brick in places...I could hear the 'hollowness' by tapping on the wall and so removed it all..my problem is...what do I do now to make the walls sound for repainting? to add to the problem..I live in Italy!!!.. any advice would be appreciated...thanks
