Hi,
We've just had a new show mixer fitted and the water pressure is worse than it was before (and it wasn't great then). The cold water tank is about 2 meters above the mixer taps but only about 50 cm above the shower head - not great I know! The hot water tank is in the cellar, so about 1.5m below the bath taps.
There's no pumps on any of this, so my first question (possibly stupid) is how does the hot water do more than trickle out when it's below the shower? and second question, what is the best solution for a better shower? Pump on hot water pipe/ cold or both?
First house ownership and trying to do a lot of it DIY, water / electric issue might be a little bit too much at this stage though :)
Thank you.
JB
