Electric shower or combi-based version

by Edpaterson » Tue Apr 19, 2011 10:28 am

Hi

My daughter has just bought a flat. The bathroom requires some work including a choice between a shower based on water supplied by the combi central heating boiler or using an existing electric shower. Which option would you suggest for (a) economy or (b) effectiveness?

be sure to buy a thermostatic mixer, as most combis are efficent at suppling hot water to one outlet.

which makes manual mixers unstable e.g. your having a shower and someone decides to do the dishes ur goin get scolded

Many thanks to you both for your prompt replies.

I shall look into a thermostatic shower unit and abandon the electric shower.
