hi can anyone advise best place to buy lime mortar for pointing up a gable wall would need around 1.5 bulk bags

i live in Irchester northants dont know any local places, they all seem to be south west or up north so costs loads to transport?

I dont know what you mean (bulk bags) hydrated lime,1 bag is 20kg as standard.Most builders merchants stock it,try the yellow pages

lime mortar for repointing old stone wall, not hydrated lime used with cement

you can use hydrated lime with sand mixed 4:1 have used it many times to point stonework,or you can use limemix bags just add sand but has cement with it specially designed for that application,but I could not get enough for the job I needed
