Draining Open Vented System All aspects of plumbing questions and answers, help, tips and information

Hi,
I am planning on replacing my radiators in the upstairs of my house but was wondering if i can just drain the upstairs circuit as I have a drain point in an upstairs bedroom. I can't see any reason why this wouldn't work but wanted to be 100% sure first.

I have an open vented system with the header tank in the loft.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Yes drain the top part only.
