faulty washing machine controller?

by oldwelshman » Sun Jul 01, 2007 4:17 pm

Hi.
I fixed my combi boiler divertor valve, now my washing machine has packed up :(
First fault reported by wife was the machine would not drain.
I cleand the pipes which had limescale in them and the machine drained.
The prolem is now the machine does not work properly!!!
Start the program and water goes in and controller looks as if it is moving through the program much too fast ( 20 seconds!!) and the machine does not spin at all. Tried several programs, wash, spin, etc all the same!!
Is this the controller faulty?

A Make and model number of the machine would help

I'm guessing this is an Indesit Machine, is the timer clicking round and round with the the power light flashing ?? if so count the flashes between the pauses (example flashes 5 times then stops flashing for a few seconds then flashes 5 again)

If you tell me the amount of flashes I will be able to help you further
