B&Q Toilet To Go Dual Flush Stuck! Drainage and wastage systems and plumbing help, advice and answers

The silver dual flush button on the toilet is stuck and the cistern will not stop filling. I have turned the water off and taken the flush mechanism apart. There is a piece of wire unattached to the spring and I need to know how and where the wire should attach to the plastic white plunger (spring?). Any help much appreciated.
