Hi everyone,

I have a flat roof on the garage that is attached to my house and the chippings are gradually being washed away into the gutter and i wondered if there was some kind of edging strip i could put on top of the felt near the gutter that would hold the chippings back and still let the rain water drain away ?

no, you could pour something like isoflex liquid rubber compound and set chippings in it

Clear away the chippings, and then wash the roof clean.

Allow to dry and then paint with silver reflective paint making sure you do the waterchecks and edges too (people forget these bits and they are often the first to crack so they are actually more important)

Any barrier to chippings will also impede water run off.
