Hello!
We have an old Vaillant GB 242E boiler - sometimes automatic ignition doesn't take place (once in spring this year, but twice today!), fault signalling lamp comes on. I press the flame failure reset button and the boiler starts working. What can be the problem?

Hi, Its an old boiler with a very complicated array of electrics which are almost impossible to diagnose when they start playing up. Call Valiant, see if they have had the problem before. If not its time for a new boiler I;m afraid.
