Hi,
I have an Alpha 280P combie boiler.I got a service in June last year and the guy had put in this great big red drum thing as he said it needed a pressure valve but he couldn't get one,I still had problems and 6 months ago I got a friend (engineer for boats) to sort my boiler he put in a new pressure valve, which I found myself by phoning around and everything has been fine no problem apart from recently when I run the hot kitchen tap the water takes ages to come from front of house to back when it heats up it is little more than a trickle, I tried opening the screw a little bit under the sink but no difference, any suggestions what the problem is.

From reading your post, it would seem that you have been using non Gas Safe engineers to repair your boiler. In the interests of safety, please get an approved Gas Safe engineer to carry out safety checks, and get this problem sorted.
