Polished concrete archway

by Theeditor74 » Sun Jun 29, 2014 12:35 pm

I am trying to renovate my house dating back to 1860. There is a large arch tat we are installing a wood burner inside of. The flue is already in but the arch needs a high quality finish as it is the centre piece to the room. We were hopng to do polished concrete with white recycled glass sand. I have a plasterer willing to do the job but also admits it is something he has done before. Would you recommend lining the arch small gauge wire mesh to hold the concrete in place? Would be great fro get any advice.
