Render Over Limewash or Clay Paints That Have Been Applied to Brickwork?

by champagne_charly » Wed Sep 24, 2014 12:22 am

Hello,

Although I have perused a few times this is my first post here so hello all.

Can anybody tell me if a limewash/ clay base paint is applied directly on to brickwork 'if' it was to be rendered, would it require scoring to give like a scarified finish or could it be just applied over the top?

Thanks

It would be best if you cleaned the wall with awire brush first then painted it wiyh a pva solution before rendering
