Painting Corona Pine Furniture to Refresh it - Advice Needed

by bankstreetgirl » Wed Jan 14, 2015 11:27 am

Hi, I'm looking for some help please. I have some Corona pine furniture that is starting to look tired, and I'm also really bored with it and needing a change! So I want to paint it cream but having never painted furniture before thought it best to get some advice first. I'm assuming that I'll need to sand it down first, use a primer and then paint it??

Any advice gratefully received, thanks.

Hi Bankstreetgirl,
Here's a great project for you to get some ideas about the effect that you can achieve: https://www.diydoctor.org.uk/projects/paint-effects.htm

If you are going to stick with your Cream theme, then these effects might not be so useful! Here's some information about priming surfaces before painting which will be helpful: https://www.diydoctor.org.uk/projects/pr ... inting.htm

Post a picture of the before and after, as it would be fantastic to see how you get on!
